Today we head off to the Pyrynees via Nimes for 3 weeks. Can not believe how quickly our time in Nendaz has gone. What was the highlight this week Mike asked me at dinner tonight. Well for me it has to be skiing off Tracouet in my new touring skis and boots on Wednesday, followed by our snowshoe on Thursday in the forest above Nendaz where it was a magical scene seeing the snow gently falling off the trees in dappled sunshine. That is until I got a big dump down the back of my neck when standing under one such tree!!

Always seems to take an age to sort out our packing, sorting etc but we got in a full days skiing yesterday so can’t complain. The pistes were very firm and lower down the mountain it was ‘frozen cut up’ snow off piste – not at all pleasant. However, the snow off Greppon was great and we had a few good runs with a couple of good falls to boot. Shows we were both pushing ourselves. Naturally we had to treat ourselves to lunch and headed back to Les Cleves for pizza, this time it was a double one. The first one was that good.
